Xanglot Cave in Viengxay, Houaphanh
The huge Xanglot Cave, which was a central area where large rallies and meetings were held. The cave was also a space for entertainment – it was the venue for musical and dance performances by local and foreign artists. Even soldiers and war victims need entertainment and a place to observe special occasions like weddings and festivals. Locals describe how they celebrated during wartime, though on a smaller scale.
