Tham Loup & Tham Hoi Caves in Vang Vieng, Laos
Tham loup and Tham Hoi are the popular caves around Vang Vieng. Located a few kilometers north of Vang Vieng city town. After Tham Sang Cave, you will need to pass through a pathway in a small forest and paddy fields to get to these caves. Beware of the local tour guide who stay in the village if you are travelling to these cave alone but not with the tour package. They will ask for unreasonable tips for bring you to the caves.
From Tham Sang a signed path takes you 1km northwest through rice fields to the entrances of Tham Loup & Tham Hoi. The entrance to Tham Hoi is guarded by a large Buddha figure; reportedly the cave continues about 3km into the limestone and an underground lake. Tham Loup is a large and delightfully untouched cavern with some impressive stalactites.
