General Khamtay Siphandone’s Cave in Houaphanh, Laos

Khamtay Siphandone was the Politburo Member responsible for the military and defence, and later was the President of Lao PDR. His cave connects to a number of military caves, which may have been used as barracks during bombing raids.
General Khamtay Siphandone’s House: Khamtay Siphandone was the Commander in Chief of the Lao People’s Liberation Army and a member of the Politburo. At his house, you’ll hear how he motivated young students to move to the caves.
